• How can microbiome innovations make it to the market without individual microbes and their interactions with each other having to be systematically defined?
  • Are there food safety risks associated with using microbiome products for animal feed or when growing vegetables for human consumption?
  • What do we need to know about microbiomes for them to be exploited in a way that supports the development of a future-proof food system?

These are key questions which microbiome experts will attempt to answer during a workshop that aims to connect experts from different microbiome sectors as well as non-experts whose work touch on the microbiome, such as regulators, policy makers and implementers. The aim is to consolidate the workshop outcomes into a white paper that provides a roadmap to bring microbiome innovations successfully to the market.
