Food System Microbiomes International Conference is the key event organised by the MicrobiomeSupport Association.

The first Food System Microbiomes Conference was held in Torino, Italy in May 2024 and addressed burning issues in the food systems (like fertilizer crisis, animal welfare, antibiotic resistance, food quality, circularity and dietary transition) for which microbiomes can offer solutions). During the conference, great scientific advances were showcased, and knowledge gaps and implementation needs were identified. The second edition of the Food System Microbiomes Conference was held in Wageningen, The Netherlands, in November 2025. Alongside excellent talks and poster sessions showcasing microbiome science across the food system, the program featured an ESR session, project exhibition, and regulatory workshop. The event provided a fantastic opportunity for scientific exchange, networking, and discussions on the future directions of the association. Explore highlights from the event here: FSM 2025 :: HOME
